Oslob is about 2 hours by van and ferry from Dumaguete to Cebu Island and is home to a small village that's gone from fishing to tourism. The local fishermen figured out that if they fed the local whale shark population shrimp chum, they had a regular audience. So from 0600 - 1100 daily, they haul the touristas out in the boats to let them snorkel with the sharks. It's a bit of a circus, well, a lot of a circus, but works well. I've managed some decent pics and through the magic of Lightroom, got some respectable photos aside from the commotion above. Most of the sharks are juveniles, 12-15' and don't seem wary of the swimmers in any manner.
